40th Anniversary

As per usual, google photos app is not on my side. It has decided to place all the pictures in reverse chronological order.

This trip was our big Summer trip this year, because my parents have been wanting to celebrate their anniversary in a big way, but just us as a family, and this year was the year. Happy 40th anniversary to my wonderful, amazing parents!!!

Buuut... since the picture are in reverse order, we will start at the end, when after our travels, we traveled some more to go get passport renewed!! Now we can travel again! Well, almost. Right before the anniversary trip, we also applied for passports for the children, but we are still waiting to get them.

As you might be able to tell, we were exhausted but happy. Heheheh!

The trip to celebrate with our family had been an amazing success.

On the very last day my mom, my dad, my sister, and my nephew went to the river to swim! It was super relaxing and fun- and I am so glad that we got to do it. My parents are the kind of people who love doing all the things, so of course we had to do the iconic river fun.

The area we all visited as a family is known as the Texan Wine Country, and it is a collection of small towns with the Guadalupe River as their main connection. The area is absolutely beautiful, and there was too much for us to see and do in just a few days.

The night before had been the main Wedding Ceremony and night time celebration. It was so fun!! There was singing, dancing, marshmallow roasting, cooking and eating, picture taking... just, all kinds of fun. It was epic.

Boo being unusually social? What?

The ceremony, which I organized for the most part, was lovely, if I do say so myself. I wanted to add the message to the end of my post, but I am having trouble finding the document. But I will come back to add pictures taken by my brother (since I was leading the ceremony I could not take pictures during, but he took some seriously beautiful pictures)

The rest of the time, we took turns cooking and going out to eat. We visited the downtown area and enjoyed some touristy-ness...

My parents' friend L joined us for a little bit. It was so lovely to see him. But it was hard to get him in to smile for pictures! haha.

We visited a beautiful brewery in a nearby town. My brother-in-law is an architect and he designed the interiors! Aren't they beautiful!? We had drinks and walked around and had a wonderful time looking at all the fancy, intricate details.

We also spent a lot of time just eating and siting around. The property we rented for the trip had a main cabin/house and lots of little houses all around it. They also had several fenced in areas for the dogs, which afforded us all a lot of freedom (we all have dogs in this family!)

Yay! Lots of outside time and no leash for us!

My brother cooking up a storm!

My brother-in-law also enjoys carpentry for a hobby, and he has been making all kinds of board games out of fancy woods- they are both beautiful and tons of fun. We spent hours learning new games and playing together.

My lovely parents :)

More of us looking around-- this time a town closer to us, just to kill time one of those nights.

My mom cooking something delicious. Yumm

And this is just us a couple days before that:

Good times. Good times indeed :)
