You may have noticed i have two posts i need to get to. Eventually. Haha.
We have been resting up from our vacation, getting the house half back up to normal... And getting ready for school!!
Quijote is currently at a conference in Canada and the kids and I stayed behind to finish the little things left to do. Today we spent a little while labeling every single pencil and crayon and marker and ... Yeah.... I'm glad they can do a lot of it themselves at this point. Haha! But I still have to make them! 😆
But we are ready!!! Woohoo!! Tomorrow we will do haircuts and attend the Meet-the-Teacher Day at Windsor, and wooooooow how fast was that? Summer really is about to end. Here comes the Fall.
We also celebrated my birthday recently, and it was super low key and very very happy. My in-laws kept the kids one evening the week before my birthday, and Quijote and I went out to eat. We went to a book store and browsed and had tea and coffee. We talked about books and kids and fun things of the like. It was wonderful.
On my birthday everyone made me cake. The kids made me this cake, and Quijote made me a cake IRL. I think I'll be eating my last slice today!
I am so happy and so thankful. Everything and everyone around me is perfect. Well, not perfect, but perfect. I feel so fortunate and so contented and so like nothing could possibly be better, and I am so very grateful for that. It is the most wonderful emotion to experience on one's birthday 💗
Happy Birthday! I figured out that my adblocker was not letting me comment. I am glad that you had delicious cakes, and I am excited to hear about the playa and other "pending" posts when you have time. Getting ready for kids school and your own classes is so much time, isn't it!?
