It has been a while!

I cannot believe how long it has been since I last updated!!!

I don't even know where to start. Summing up the spring and start of the summer will be hard, but I will try.

What all have we been up to? Mostly school, girl scouts, volleyball, gardening, and lots of visiting with our family. You know-  the usual.

Back in January, we were recuperating from the winter holidays and trying to stay warm.

Miss E and I also did some serious crafting back then, when she went through a renewed interest in her barbies and we build a bedroom and a coffee shop for them out of cardboard and printables for the sign, the tea bags, and the cashier's machine. We said we would make more barbie clothes this summer, but we have yet to get to that... haha!

In February we were finally able to start doing stuff with Girl Scouts (after the heavy part of selling cookies was done) and we continued to meet to do fun things such as camping, learning about outdoor survival skills, and tons of crafting. This is the troop doing some mosaic work for a badge. Huge thanks to my in-laws for letting us use their house for some of these meetings!

Other random pictures from that month...

And that was also when we started really getting into Minecraft and the kids started having a weekly "playdate" with our friends and pen pals, the Fox kids.

In March Quijote and I celebrated our anniversary and the kids visited their Nana and Grandpa and their other pen pal, who lives in OK

April was super busy!! We celebrated Q's birthday!! WOOHOOO!! We did tons of activities with Girl Scouts, the volleyball season started again for Miss E, we had friends over, we did some bedroom cleanup (thus all the pictures) and of course lots of reading and lessons here at home. Nana and Grandpa came to visit, and we also celebrated Easter -part of it- at home because we did struggle with asthma, allergies, and related health issues.

We did celebrate after Easter by painting eggs with kids from church the week after.

The troop celebrated World Thinking Day for the first time in 2 years!! Our booth was all about Thailand and we had a presentation on their religious practice of mandala crafting. The girls helped other girls through the country's information and then applied mandala inspired gold tattoos for fun (not the real thing, just for fun). There were tons of other booths with information and crafts from all around the world.

Fun painting with ceramics at a local shop.

In early May the kids had a field day at school! And then Miss E and I went on our first GS camp in over two years!

GS CAMP

We had SOOOOO MUCH FUUUUUUN!!! Maybe because we were not able to do so much of this last year, but we did ALL THE THINGS this school year. We finally just went for it and really had such a blast. It was a wonderful school year for the kids, and for me as their mom and as Miss E's girl scout leader. We really had a blast.
