Two years!

I can't believe it's been two years since I last wrote on this blog. I think it is because of how easy it has been to post on FB from my phone- without having to move pictures around and without the discomforts of sharing a computer with the rest of the family. Once a family event had been "published" on FB, it was easy to think of that as sufficient record for posterity. It is there in the inter-web, after all, and family and friends have seen it, and thus, it has happened.

Today, however, Miss E asked me to show her pictures from back in the day. Facebook has yet to be "searchable" and I doubt it ever will be, so of course, we came back to Blogger and found this blog. I am reminded of how important it is to have this particular type of record-keeping updated. I wish I didn't find it comparatively more difficult to do, and I have often thought of giving up FB so that the danger of using that as the only record will also disappear, but I have been attending church via FB and have been talking to family on its messenger program... kept in touch with GS troops ...and so on...

But these past years have been very busy! There has been both good and bad in them for us. Quijote has been through the last part of his tenure process. He has tenure now!! It felt like such a long process... He is a very patient man.

We did lots of travel in the past couple years. I am grateful for that even more this Summer, now that we are stranded at home trying to be responsible and thoughtful of others. Before all this, we thankfully took the time to go places! It's nice to b able to say that.

We went to Disneyland.

We went to Europe.

We went to the Grand Canyon. Actually, we were there when the news of the pandemic hit the web and we had to cut it short-- but we had tons of fun before it all happened.

Before the Covid insanity started, we did tons of other fun things. I should "write" another post with more pictures. This one is getting very long...

This Summer has been good too, all things considered. But that is a topic for yet another post.
