Things My Children Say

Posted on FB by Quijote. Yesterday at 10am
I asked Miss E if she wanted to come with me to get donuts or stay here to take care of mama and the dog while Mr E and I go. The response...
"Aw, but I want to go and... No... No. It's better if I stay here because I am a good fighter and Mami is like *in high pitched voice* 'Ohhhh! I can't fight! Save me E!' and I can go eeyah! Chah! Huwah!' *shows off sick ninja moves while still holding dog*. Just remember I want pink donuts with sprinkles."
... I managed to keep a straight face throughout all of this.

Also from yesterday (last night, thus no FB post)
Miss E has thought up of her own theological strand. Q calls it her postal theology. He and E were talking and she told him that "We are all in a package. And the son of the postman will deliver us to the postman, and we will all be happy."

Almost forgot this one from the week before we went to J for the weekend.
Miss E said "I loooove to go to Abuelitos'!! If we do something bad, they always say it's okay!!" BUAJAJAJAJA! Que tal!?! Abuelitos solapadores, we're on to you <3!

Mr E drops hummus on his shirt.
Mama: oh no! E! Your shirt!
E (looks down, wipes hummus off with cracker and eats it): There! Clean!

Last night their babysitter said that Miss E told her, "I have to go play with my brother now, or he will be sad." This was a very "E and E" moment I thought. This came up on my memories feed, and it's a good reminder that they've been great siblings for each other from the start.
I'm privileged to get front row seats while they are becoming good human beings.
