Summer Vacation

I am forever catching up, but better late than never. We took a small family vacation this summer, just the four of us. I think it might be our first since Mr E came along! We went to a small touristy town in "Baja," as I have recently learned you Americans call it. It is a beautiful place my parents discovered some years ago that has become the home of many wonderful memories. The beach is beautiful and safe, the ocean water is warm, the people are friendly, the prices are reasonable... and I do love traveling back south where we see so many mixed families like ours! I forget sometimes how easy it can be to make friends. It is Spanglish heaven out there! LoL. Anyway, I love Puerto Pen~asco.

Miss E was in her swimming suit before we had a chance to say "Pool" and pretty much spent her days in the water. Mr E preferred the beach sand fun, but did get in the pool a few times. The complex is set up right by the ocean so that it is very easy to go back and forth, and that is honestly all we did.
We got here less than 10 mins ago.

Mr E and Quijote are in this picture too:

We had so much fun... Quijote took lots of pictures -thank goodness- but I feel like there was always something weird going on, like a bowing child or hair blowing on my face... Ah well, you take what you can get, right?

During the day it was pools and food and sandcastles. Nightime would usually be the most peaceful time for me. I would take a walk after the kids were in for the night. So beautiful...

The rooms all look like small condos, and we took full advantage of the ability to cook our own meals, but we also went out a couple times for dinner at the restaurant in the complex. They have great shrimp options and everyone who saw me eating chocolate cake at the pool asked me where I got it. It's one of those scrumptious looking desserts... maybe I should have taken a picture of it :P

The plaza. Restaurant is on the left. Silly kiddoes dead center.

I mostly enjoyed the fun and took pictures sparingly (most of the above picures are Quijotes). But nostalgia hit me on the last day and we took some family pictures.

I want to go back already :D
