Año Nuevo

Yes. I am behind again!!  I promise to come back and fill in the blanks. It gets busy and fun and crazy and I immediately start getting behind like this, but the adventures carry on, so posting blank posts is the only solution I can think of...

I only have a couple friends who check on this blog, but if you are one of them, please know I wish you a very happy new year's eve and a happier new year. Lots of love from us all.

HERE I AMMMMM!!! Trying to get back on track. heheh,.. In mid January... but oh well. :P

***

This year we had almost 4 weeks of winter break, and we made good use of them. We did all the things, with all our people. We spent a lot of time around the table with all our family, and that alone is such a wonderful gift. My parents fed us for weeks on end! It would be an endless list if I were to sit here and talk about all that food. My sister invited us over quite a bit, too! We spent tons of time with my abuelita. I am especially grateful for that time. Hopefully this isn't our last Christmas season with her, but just in case. My aunt M also cooked paella especially for us, which is such an honor (and so delicious!) We went places, did crazy things. Well, hopefully not too crazy. We honestly tried to be careful to do outdoor things or go places when they were not crowded. But we did so much. Because for the first time in many years we had plenty of time to do all the things. Although, to be honest, even with all these weeks, at the end of the trip I was still wanting to get more things done! Too many things perhaps. It is such an unusual gift- having enough time, a long enough visit. We are infinitely grateful for it. We know it won't always be like this, and we took full advantage of it. It was such a blessing. Here's to a very blessed 2022. I feel so much gratitude for 2021, and even for this crazy start to the new year.

So, here goes, the last post with pictures of our winter break.

Happy New Years!

Los primitos especially was really cool to see. They understood each other somehow and spent the night together telling scary stories, playing games, talking to each other somehow. It was so great. The big primos also spent some time together! The card game was pretty epic.

There were also other outings that I wanted to include somewhere, so I think this is it. Hehe... Here go a few other fun things we did with the last little bit of time we had this trip.
