Here are some pictures of the grandparents' last visit! There's been two visits this Spring, thanks to vaccination and good luck with scheduling. The kids have really enjoyed it. We're planning to visit them in OK in early May! Woot woot!
Now that I look at pictures from this second visit- I think we did a lot of "juegos de mesa" with them this visit! So much fun- learned a new version of mah-jongg (apparently there are many! not surprised, with how complicated that game is!) and even had an international game of Scrabble. Since we're into Risk of late, we also played that once. Good times.
Miss E has been using some Spanish in her games! I am so proud.
The next pictures (and I'll have to come back to insert a video or two) are from their spy game. One of those days, the grandparents and I took the kids to the book store. My in-laws got the kids some really cool books (a dinosaur book for Mr E and a Harry Potter Unofficial Cook Book) and also got them a set of walkie talkies (you can kind of see one in Mr E's hand in the picture below), which were immediately put to good use. The next morning, the kids followed me around for hours, reporting on my every movement to each other as I cleaned and gardened all day. It was hilarious. They were trying to do it without my noticing, though it was obvious to all that it was all big game, so at first I tried to play along and avoid eye contact, but later it turned into a hide and seek of sorts, with them following me until I acknowledged them and them calling retreat through their walkie talkies all the time. So then I had to go out of my way every once in a while to scare them back. Haha!

Ah! Here is the game of Risk. It was risky indeed. LoL.

¡Feliz CumpleaƱos a su esposo! And oh my, our family plays so many games. Lydia and Philip love Risk. Sometime, when our backlog of family visits and house projects cause by the pandemic gets under control, we need to get together. I am sure the kids would be happy to do more online games as well, in the meantime.
