Hope You Had a Happy Valentine's Day

Here is my valentine, wondering why I'm snapping a picture of our food.

It was just so delicious-- I couldn't help myself.

We have been going to an Indian restaurant in Amarillo that makes beautiful comfort food for the soul, which we both sorely needed. We have been so tired lately... Hehe! But that didn't stop us from celebrating (albeit, by the seat of our pants) big time :) We had a lot of fun.

It was a wonderful outing/date, and we enjoyed it very much. After our dinner we headed to Starbucks for some chocolate croissants and then to World Market, just because.

Earlier that day we also went out for lunch with the kiddoes (we all wore special Valentines Day outfits! Can you tell?) and then took them to our favorite coffee shop in town. We sort of just woke up and lazily got ready, then walked to downtown to enjoy the day's unusually warm weather...

Miss E, my little ballerina, always in her tutu. And Mr E, ever the explorer, walking around the place.

He looooved the foamy milk from my chai... poor thing wanted a little more...

Miss E had a cup of hot chocolate.

 Q and I had our chai tea and coffee with a really cool Dutch wafer that is a thing these days (again, I guess, since it's somewhat of a traditional wafer from what I hear) and we think it's just so delicious. It comes in hardened form because it's meant to be placed on the rim of your hot drink, and it absorbs the steam and flavors from your drink. The filling softens to perfectly smooth, chocolaty awesomeness, and I'm definitely a fan. I might have to pull pictures from a previous date.. let me look...

And here we are, walking back home. I love 5th Avenue!!

During the week we also did some crafts and made a special our daily strawberry-yogurt, very pink treat.

Mr E really loves his blueberries!!

As I said I would, I made a double batch so that Miss E could eat half of it during prep time :)

We cut and decorated their names ...

And hung some in a "mobile-like" fashion

Miss E had fun gluing decorations to the back of this heart, which Mr E promptly ripped :P

And our playroom is a wreck, but I'm still very proud of it, because it's been a lot of work, and we have enjoyed it so much.

Miss E does not eat eggs, unless they LOOK like eggs.

And finally, I realized I did not include a picture of the finished frozen treat last time, so here are a couple.

I also want to say thanks to Nana and Grandpa for the Valentines Day sweets! We will eat those too, little by little... so yummy!

No todo es viaje :)

Aunk la verdad hemos estado enfocados en prepararnos, viajar, o desempacar! Pero entre locuras tambien he podido hacer cosas mas normales.

Mr E loves to ride the tricycle lately!

And of course I'm still trying to get Miss E to eat her veggies, or at least some fruit other than bananas and apples. So yesterday we made blueberry yogurt Popsicles. I plopped the baby in the high chair and gave him some blueberries (he looooved having a snack and a show!) and Miss E helped make them. I mashed the blueberries and poured the yogurt and honey, then she mixed and mixed, and finally poured the mix into the mold.

She is very much into pouring these days!

She was eagerly eating the mix while we were making them, but sadly I must report that the actual popcicles were not nearly as appetizing to her. I do recognize that blueberries can have a little bit of sourness in them (and come to think of it, Greek yogurt does too) so we added a spoonful of honey. I thought they were delicious! But maybe the color is offsetting to her? They do turn a little darker after freezing. Next time I'll just let her eat half the mix before making the popcicles :P!!

She may not be a fan, but Mr. E does love them, and he would eat them all in one day if I let him! hehe! He loves any kind of frozen treat these days. Probably because he is teething, poor thing! Second pair of teeth are coming! I can already see the point of both the top front teeth!!
